Dear SRJC Colleagues,

We are currently experiencing a district-wide issue affecting student registration in Banner. Students attempting to register for courses - particularly those with prerequisites - may encounter CAPP or Degree Works error messages that prevent successful enrollment.

At this time, the issue appears to be impacting registration broadly, not just individual courses or students. Reports began on April 23, and the problem is ongoing as of today. Our vendor (Ellucian) has been notified, and their team is actively investigating.

What we know:

• Students may be unable to register for courses due to prerequisite validation errors.
• Errors are related to CAPP/Degree Works processing.
• The issue may affect all registration activity.

What you should do:

• Please inform students that this is a known system issue currently under review.
• Advise students to try again later while the issue is being resolved.
• Avoid submitting duplicate tickets unless reporting new or significantly different behavior.

We understand this is a time-sensitive concern, especially with priority registration underway, and we appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution. Priority 1 students have been notified about the issue.
