Below are the latest updates regarding our Student Information System Transition. Note that the following represents new information only. For all other items covered in previous messages, or to ask a question about your use of Banner, please go to the Student Information System website.

| Faculty Assignment Letters | Summer hourly assignment letters are now available in legacy SIS for faculty to accept for their summer assignments. Watch for an email from the VPAA office with access instructions. |
| Emailing Students in Banner - Sending from the wrong email address | For your SRJC email to appear as the sender, it needs to be set as the default email on your computer. For help with changing your computer's default email program, see this guide for Mac users or this guide for Windows users. For more other alternatives, please see “How do I email students from the Class List page?” on the Faculty FAQ page. |
| Emailing Students in Banner - Missing student email addresses | If your roster is missing email addresses for some students, please know that IT is working on a resolution to this problem. Meanwhile, you might consider sending messages through Canvas. |
| Dropping No-show Students | Directions for how to drop no-show students are in the Faculty FAQ section of the sis.santarosa.edu website. |
| Schedule Change Forms | Schedule Change Forms (SCFs) are now required for any changes to the summer semester’s classes or instructor load. Please make certain you are using the most recent version of the Schedule Change Form. Formstack submittals for summer will no longer be accepted. SCFs should be emailed directly to Rosa Garcia (rgarcia@santarosa.edu). |
| Grades for Spring | IT sent Spring 2026 grades to Banner on June 10, and they should now appear in their student dashboard as they do for prior semesters. |

| Banner Naming Convention | We ask that staff become familiar with the naming convention in Banner to maintain consistency in the way it will be displayed moving forward. Example Student Name Information

| SARS-Banner Integration Update | SARS has completed its integration with Banner after business hours on June 4, transitioning Banner to the system of record (“source of truth”) for student IDs. Testing took place on June 5, followed by full implementation on June 8. Staff are receiving updated guidance to support this transition and ensure consistent use of Banner IDs moving forward. |
| Summer & Fall 2026 Enrollment Update | Current enrollment numbers reflect system transition factors and enhanced data security measures: Summer 2026: 10,501 students enrolled (compared to 11,665 at the start of Summer 2025). Fall 2026: 11,114 students enrolled (compared to 16,924 at the same point last year). Please note that we have not yet completed any Lifelong Learning registrations for Fall 2026, and enrollment numbers change daily. Updated enrollment numbers will continue to be provided. |
