Dear SRJC Employees, 

March marks several important milestones in the Banner implementation timeline. To support these milestones, a coordinated District marketing and communication plan is underway to prepare both students and employees for the launch of Bear Cub Hub. 

Given the complexity of this initiative and the moving deadlines, we are working to ensure that information is delivered clearly, consistently, and in a coordinated manner through the appropriate channels. Communications are sequenced intentionally to reinforce key actions without overwhelming students or employees.

Below is an overview of planned activities and communications to support the rollout, including anticipated channels and timing. 

Student-Facing Communications

Student-facing materials are being deployed to continue building awareness of the @bearcubs email and to introduce key features students will use, including financial aid, registration, and making payments. Students are receiving communications through multiple channels, including: 

• Emails to both @bearcubs and personal email accounts 
• Flyers and postcards were distributed across all sites 
• Messages on digital screens 
• Canvas announcements 
• Social media posts 

Student ID Numbers

On March 23, students will receive their new student ID numbers via email. In advance of that date, reminder emails and text messages will be sent to prepare students for the change and explain how the ID number will be used to access Bear Cub Hub. Students will not need to obtain a new student ID card. 

Quick Guides, Tutorials, and Training

Beginning March 11, training resources, including Quick Guides and tutorials, are being made available at sis.santarosa.edu as they are completed. Materials will be available for faculty, staff, and students and will serve as the primary reference resources as we approach go-live. 

Additionally, broader training for the Bear Cub Hub will begin to roll out over the next few weeks. Please watch for additional communication shortly.
